All Japan Event Cards for July & August 2014
http://puroresuspirit.wordpress.com/2014/06/21/all-japan-event-cards-for-july-august-2014/

[AJPW News] All Japan held a few press conferences for their upcoming title matches scheduled to take place throughout the month of July.

First up, Suwama stated that he is eager for this match against Joe Doering on July 27th. As it has been one of “Evolution’s” goals for him and Doering to face off with the Triple Crown on the line. He also stated that they will both show off what it means to compete in the new All Japan and showcase the true value of the Triple Crown. That there is an inherent responsibility to have the best match possible. He said that his rivalry with Doering has been very much present for years and that is also what made them so good as a tag team as well. They both know their strengths and weaknesses as well.

Jun Akiyama and Takao Omori then talked about their upcoming World Tag defense set against “Dark Kingdom’s” KENSO & Mitsuya Nagai on July 12th. Akiyama stated that it is fitting that his first match under the new All Japan will be with the World Tag belts on the line. That he knows the responsibilities that he faces now as president but then he knows what he must face in the ring against the DK thugs. Akiyama also mentioned KENSO’s absence from the recent press conference to signal the latest changes in All Japan, that KENSO seems to be rebelling from Akiyama’s new leadership position. KENSO has been silent for the most part, but his open attack on Akiyama and Omori back on June 29th seemed to have a little something extra with it.

Atsushi Aoki and Hikaru Sato where both present for the conference leading into the World Junior title match on July 27th. The Champion Aoki finally agreed to a match against the challenger Hikaru after their encounters in June. Aoki noted that they both share similar styles in a way, especially with the emphasis on arm locks and bars to win matches. Aoki knows Hikaru’s connections to Pancrase and is hoping he brings all of that skill out in their upcoming match. This is Aoki’s first reign as a junior singles champion and he wants to prove himself in anyway possible. Hikaru knows it has been a rough road since he has started competing in All Japan, but he is committed to showcase himself fully as a junior in All Japan. He ended the conference by stating that 2014 is his year to show who he has truly become.

Then lastly, Xceed’s Kento Miyahara and reigning GAORA TV Champion Kotaro Suzuki came out to talk about the upcoming tour and the matches that they will be faced with. Miyahara said that there is a void with Go Shiozaki out with an injury, but he and Kotaro aim to keep the group going strong in his absence. Kento then acknowledged that a good part of the tour in July will see him in singles matches as he aims to further break out as a singles competitor. That he vowed to not let this chance just fade away. He stated that his goal is to become the center of All Japan and to one day wear the Triple Crown around his waist. Which interesting enough, his first singles match on the tour will be against the current Triple Crown champion Suwama on July 12th. That no matter what may happen that he will prove himself first and foremost.
Kotaro Suzuki will then be making his 3rd defense of the GAORA TV belt as he takes on Dragon Gate’s K-ness. on July 26th. Back on May 18th, Kotaro and K-ness. originally faced in a tag match that ended in a double pinfall. Kotaro then accepted the challenge from K-ness. to put the GAORA belt on the line. Kotaro has sworn that he will not let the belt fall from his waist as he aims to further raise the value of the belt.

[AJPW News] All Japan has announced the next defense for the World Tag belts as well other additions to the upcoming Korakuen Hall show on May 16th.

Following Suwama’s request for a “strong” team to make a challenge for the World Tag belts, the Big Guns made it known that they want a shot against Suwama and the belts. Suwama made it official today that he has no objection against the duo challenging for the belts and the match has been set for the next Korakuen Hall show on May 16th.
During the Champion Carnival last month, Doering and Zeus have unfinished business following a 30 min. draw. Suwama wants to give Doering another chance to prove that he is over Zeus. But then again, he is aware of the powerful duo that is now facing them and he believes that it would be more than interesting to have a hand-in-hand showdown in the ring.
Suwama also once more denied that he will not offer Omori the next challenge as Omori is the contender for the Triple Crown at this time.

Both Atsushi Aoki and Hikaru Sato were on hand for the press conference to talk about their upcoming opportunity to potentially become the next contender for the World Junior belt. Both men have been wanting another shot at the Junior belt and Ultimo Dragon, but there has not been a clear answer on just who should get the next shot. So a 3WAY match, along with the champion, will be contested to determine who truly deserves the next shot. Hikaru stated that he has a lot more experience in multi-man matches specifically throughout his years in DDT. While Aoki says that he will do whatever it takes to become the rightful champion.

This upcoming show will also be in the honor of the late Jumbo Tsuruta and a match in particularly has been put together for the show. As 4 men who knew Jumbo Tsuruta will be partaking in a tag match as Masanobu Fuchi and Masao Inoue take on Jun Akiyama and Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
