[NOAH News] A signing ceremony was held for the upcoming GHC Heavyweight Championship match between the champion Naomichi Marufuji and the challenger Katsuhiko Nakajima. Also Maru announced the next “GREAT VOYAGE” show will be held on September 23 at the Niigata City Gymnasium along with a first ever match to take place in the Noah ring.

This upcoming GHC Heavy defense will see the two BRAVE teammates going head-to-head which is also happens to be Nakajima’s hometown. Marufuji will be heading into the match with a current 2 win streak over Nakajima in singles matches as of this point. Nakajima’s last challenge or the GHC Heavy came just a little over 9 months when he lost against the then champion KENTA on October 5, 2013.

Marufuji stated that the first defense of the belt is very important and Nakajima is indeed the right guy as they have been both best friends and fierce rivals throughout the years. Maru noted that he has fallen short in recent times when it came to reclaiming the GHC Heavy belt and that he aims to make sure that this reign means something. Maru also stated that he won the GHC Heavyweight belt through his determination to defend Noah against the NJPW’s Yuji Nagata and he cannot let Nakajima win, who carries the DIAMOND RING banner.

Nakajima stated that he is honored that Marufuji wants to face him first, but with that said he knows how much is on the line at the same time. He mentioned that Maru might be the leader of BRAVE, but his goal is to defeat Marufuji in the ring. As noted earlier with the loss record that he current has hanging over himself against Maru, Nakajima stated that he does not wish to suffer defeat once more. He will do his best against Marufuji as it is his own goal to one day hold the GHC Heavyweight belt.

Marufuji then announced that the “GREAT VOYAGE” will be held on September 23rd at the Niigata City Gymnasium. Also announced is a big change for Noah as they will be working along with ZERO1’s First-On Stage and the “Dai H
anabi (Great Fireworks)” to be a part of the show. What this means is that Noah will be hosting their very first ever “Electric Current Blast Death Match” with Atsushi Onita. Both promotions were scheduled to be holding an event at the same time in Niigata, but due to some working between the committee’s it was decided that a “union box office” would be more beneficial.
Something that was also mentioned is that the GHC Tag belts could very well be defended in this match if Takashi Sugiura and Masato Tanaka are still champions by that time. As Onita has made the challenge for a GHC belt to be on the line. Shinjiro Otani is also scheduled to compete on the show, and could potentially be Onita’s partner.

image~ KENTA received much praise for his final match, at this time, as a Pro Wrestling Noah wrestler. KENTA stated that he has received a much needed boost for “new challenge” that is in front of him.

KENTA has still not stated exactly where he is going at this time, but I will say that it is more than likely the WWE. Much like the news with Prince Devitt, KENTA is more than likely waiting for his visa to clear before saying anything himself. It also fits the Summer timeline for him to be coming in to join in at the WWE Developmental center. - CP/BushidoRX

    (7) GHC Heavyweight Championship Match: [21st Champion] Yuji Nagata vs. [Challenger] Muhammed Yone
Winner: Nagata (26:26) with the Backdrop Hold.
    ~ 4th successful title defense.
    ~ Marufuji challenged the champion.

[NOAH News] Pro Wrestling Noah has made it official that Daisuke Harada will be defending the GHC Junior Heavyweight belt against Quiet Storm on May 31st at Differ Ariake.Storm has made several appearances in Noah in the last month and has been racking up wins, more specifically in tag matches against Harada. Though he has yet to pin the junior champion in Noah, Storm is a former Osaka Pro Champion, much like Daisuke Harada, and the two have met previously while in Osaka. There was originally concern that Storm was not at the 100kg weight limit to compete for the Junior class belt, but he was officially weighed in at just at 98kg. So nothing stood in the way to make the match happen.

[NOAH News] A press conference was held today for the upcoming GHC Heavyweight and Junior championship matches that are scheduled to take place this month.

The reigning GHC Heavyweight Champion Yuji Nagata was present for the title contract signing, but as usual Maybach was not present as the challenger. Nagata would take a seat, but then Maybach rushed into the room and attacked Nagata. Nagata though seemed more than prepared for an attack as he showcased his own secret weapon with a blue mist (blue justice mist?) and he went straight for Maybach’s eyes. Nagata would then shove Maybach’s face into the contract before Maybach left the room following a dose of his own medicine.

Nagata then went on with the press conference and stated that following the recent NJPW 2 day tour in Taiwan that he underwent some special training. He stated that he has indeed learned a new “dodge technique” and that it could come in handy if Maybach decides to bring in his favorite weapon. Nagata declared that he will successfully defended the belt in Nagoya on the 20th and he aims to beat the hell out of Maybach in the process.

The second part of the conference was for the GHC Jr. Heavyweight belt match between the champion Daisuke Harada and the challenger Atsushi Kotoge. This match will be quite fitting as it takes place in Osaka, Japan. As they are both were born in that area and got their starts there. Both have been close friends as well as rivals in their 8+ year career’s. the two look to be aiming to go all out for the match in their hometown, and it could be a match worth checking when these two face off with the belt on the line.

Below are the announced event cards at this time.

[NOAH News] A press conference was held for the upcoming Global Tag League that is set to begin on April 12.

During the beginnings of the press conference, the reigning GHC Tag Champions in Takeshi Morishima & Maybach Taniguchi appeared and began antagonizing everyone else and screaming. They would then abruptly leave the room. Clearly the champions aimed to boycott the conference.

Takashi Sugiura would take offense to the champions lack of respect and leaving the room. Sugiura would then call out to the two to return to the room, but they did not and this led Sugi stating that neither have “any pride” as champions. Sugi then apologized for the situation that everyone just witnessed.

KENTA & Yoshihiro Takayama will be the reigning tournament winners and they both stated that they aspire to win once more this year and go on to claim the GHC Tag belts.

The tournament is set to begin on April 12 and will run throughout the rest of this month with the final day to be held on April 27. Sine there is no block system this year there will not be a final match. The team with the highest points will be declared the winner, unless there so happens to be a tie for first place.

Below are the links to the full info on the tournament and April tour.
