[All Japan News] Some more details have been released as to “brother” YASSHI’s return to All Japan. YASSHI has made it known simply as he wants to lay claim to the World Junior Heavyweight belt.YASSHI made his original debut in All Japan back in February of 2005 before then taking a break from wrestling exactly 4 years later in February of 2009. Even though he was a part of the original Voodoo Murders faction he was not in All Japan during the time of the Nobokazu Hirai situation, so there are no problems there. YASSHI though is involved with the new Voodoo Murders upstart along with TARU and Kengo. No word on if either will appear in All Japan, but TARU does not seem too likely to be welcomed back at this time. As he was directly part of the Hirai controversy a couple years back. YASSHI is currently the leader of the new VM.Though going back to YASSHI, this will mark his first time back in All Japan in 5 and a half years and the “talking machine”, as he is known to be very vocal, is looking to become a part of All Japan’s rebirth. Much like with his recent return/rebirth to pro-wrestling.Something else to note is that YASSHI has acknowledged Suwama as they were former VM teammates years ago, and Suwama currently holds power in the promotion as the managing director. It seems he will be returning to the promotion with a purpose as he aims to YASSHI’s return match is set for August 16th as he will be teaming with Hideki Suzuki (freelance) as they take on the World Jr. Champion Atsushi Aoki and Hikaru Sato. He will also be competing on the 8/17 and 8/24 shows. All Japan Pro-Wrestling “Summer Impact 2014”, 8/16/2014 [Sat] 18:30 @ Korakuen Hall in Tokyo () Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Yohei Nakajima (formerly Menso~re Oyaji) () Zeus vs. KENSO () Masanobu Fuchi & Soma Takao [DDT] vs. Masao Inoue [FREE] & SUSHI () Atsushi Aoki & Hikaru Sato [Pancrase MISSION] vs. Hideki Suzuki [FREE] & “brother” YASSHI [FREE/Voodoo Murders] () Go Shiozaki’s Return Match ~ New Royal Road Legend Revival: Suwama vs. Go Shiozaki () Akebono Return Match ~ Triple Crown Premium Tag Match: Joe Doering [50th Champion, Current] & Takao Omori [48th Champion] vs. Jun Akiyama [44th Champion] & Akebono [47th Champion] () Asia Tag Championship Match: [94th Champions] Shigehiro Irie & Keisuke Ishii vs. [Challengers] Kento Miyahara & Kotaro Suzuki~ 6th title defense. All Japan Event Cards for July & August 2014http://puroresuspirit.wordpress.com/2014/06/21/all-japan-event-cards-for-july-august-2014/

[NOAH News] Noah announced 2 title matches to take place in month of August as well as other updates.

First up, following the final day of the JTL Taiji Ishimori suffered ligament damage to his left knee and will be unable to compete at this current time. Ishimori and Atsushi Kotoge are the current reigning GHC Jr. Tag Champions and it is uncertain to whether they will be forced to relinquish the belts due to not being able to defend them. The winner of the JTL in Hajime Ohara and Kenou are eagerly waiting for their title opportunity and demanded that Ishimori give up the belts if he cannot give them their rightfully earned title match. Ohara specifically stated that Ishimori has to be scared of losing the belts to the more dominant team and he is dissapointed that the title match has been postponed.
    —————————————————————————-
Though it is not all sour for Ohara and Kenou as Ohara specifically has earned a title match against the GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion Daisuke Harada on the August 17th show. Ohara got the win over Harada in the final match of the JTL and a title match was almost guaranteed to happen as the champion suffered a significant loss. Ohara stated confidently that he will deliver yet another loss to Harada.
Harada swore that he will win the upcoming defense and restore confidence to himself and to the fans as the rightful champion. Harada stated that his first loss to Ohara in Noah and that he clearly did not anticipate what was coming, let alone to suffer defeat on a top stage. Harada noted that Ohara has spent a lot of time learning different styles and has counters for just about everything, and with Chokibogun at ringside, as well as their tactics, it will be a hard challenge. Harada though stated that he is not completely pleased with his performance in the JTL, but he will take every step possible to rebuild himself back up as a true champion.

This Week in Puroresu [Upcoming Events 8/4 - 8/17, 2014 + Recap of Last Week]

    image

First and foremost I will not be covering any events between August 7th to the 17th. I will be going on a work vacation during this time, as I do every year at this time. So there will be no posts here specifically on the tumblr blog while I am away. Though please check the facebook page and twitter for any potential posts that may be made from those who I have given the privileges to do so. Thanks for supporting the spirit and I hope to return later on this month, hopefully refreshed.

For those who read this, this year will mark the 5th anniversary of me being under the Puroresu Spirit name. Now I don’t mean to beg for anything with something a little more being returned to you guys who follow the site, but I have added a paypal donation spot on this side of this blog, or just click this link. I am not begging for much, but a couple people have mentioned that it would be a nice thing for people to give back. Responsibilities with getting older mean that time is more crucial that in used to be when I was younger, just reality I guess.
So I am thinking of a “plan" is to hold a donation "contest" for a couple gifts. That is once they have all been finalized/lined up. Gifts of which could involve NJPW King of Pro Wrestling cards, just as one suggestion. For those who donate now I will be putting your name into the contest drawing. Keep in mind that the contest is not a guarantee, but I do think it would be nice to try and give back a little something extra if I do so happen to get anything. Thanks for the support.

I am continually looking to expand the site and facebook page with all different kinds of coverage! If you wish to contribute or you have a site you want to be in connection with Puroresu Spirit, feel free to send me a message on the facebook page, tumblr, or on twitter
You can even shoot me an email at PuroSpirit (at) gmail.com.

I am mainly looking for more Japanese Indy promotion coverage, someone to cover DRAGON GATE and or even NJPW. Also to help maintain and update pages/promotions/profiles on the website. If this sounds like something of interest, feel free to send me a message. Being over 30 years old has just limited how much time I can dedicate to this hobby as I wish. I will continue to do my best though, but thanks for the understanding.
