[DIAMOND RING/VooDoo MURDERS/NOAH News] Katsuhiko Nakajima announced that he will be bringing in Yutaka Yoshie to team up with him and Kajiwara to take on the VooDoo MURDERS on March 17.Since size and height is a factor in the up coming match, Nakajima has taken it upon himself to find someone who can back up their height with the large size and that man is Yoshie. All 3 members of the VooDoo MURDERS they are facing are all over 180cm (Kento 186cm/97kg, Taishi 190cm/95kg & TARU 185cm/100kg) which completely beats the 175cm/97kg of Nakajima and the 170cm/83kg of Kajiwara. So the 180cm/150kg frame of Yutaka Yoshie is what Katsukaji (Katsuhiko & Kajiwara) are hoping will be bring the extra power that they need. The whole event card for the 3.17 show has been announced which you can see below.DIAMOND RING, 3/17/2013 [Sun] 13:00 @  Tatebayashi City Citizens Gymnasium in Gunma (Gohara Gymnasium)(1) Opening Tag Match: ~Participants~ Namazu Man, Kikutato [Akiba], CHANGO [Free] & KAMIKAZE [ZERO1]~ Teams to be decided the day off event.(2) Mitsuhiro Kitamiya vs. Kengo [VooDoo MURDERS](3) Tatsuhito Takaiwa [Free] & Ryuji Hijikata [Free] vs. Kenichiro Arai [DG] & K-ness. [DIAMOND RING News] DR announced the full show card for their 1st year anniversary on Feb. 11th. Kento Miyahara and Akira Hokuto were on hand for the press conference to announce the final two matches for the upcoming show.Among the announcements is DR accepting the challenge from the Voodoo Murders to compete on the show. YASSHI originally announced that he was aiming for his return, but yesterday led to the shocking return of TARU. TARU has thrown his name back out there that he wants to return to the ring, and it is up to him when they might happen. DR announced that Kento Miyahara will be teaming with K-DOJO’s Taishi Takizawa to take on the team of VOODOO MURDERS with their decision on who exactly will compete from their group, as well as the inclusion of Kazunari Murakami. That is to say if he so chooses to associate himself with the group.Sasaki’s return match has been set as it was announced that he would be teaming with NOAH’s Takashi Sugiura to take on the team of his top student, Katsuhiko Nakajima, and ZERO1’s Shinjiro Otani. Interesting development to see Sasaki teaming with Sugiura, but it should be interesting to see how they work together against Nakajima & Otani. Sasaki and Otani have a history against one another, and who knows if this may lead to another singles clash down the road.Below is the updated card in full.DIAMOND RING “Dream Anniversary 2013 ~ 1st Year Anniversary”, 2/11/2013 [Mon] 12:00 @ Korakuen Hall in Tokyo(1) Battle Royal: Namazu Man, Yoshihiro Takayama, Kikutaro, CHANGO, Antonio Honda, Shu & Kei Brahman, Menso~re Oyaji, NOSAWA Rongai, Marines Mask, Masao Inoue, and more to be added later.(2) Akira Hokuto Produced Special Joshi Pro Wrestling Match: Manami Toyota [Free] & Meiko Satomura [SENDAI] vs. Yumiko Hotta [DIANA] & Sonoko Kato [OZ](3) 6 Man Tag Junior Scramble Wars: Satoshi Kajiwara, Ryuji Hijikata [Free] & TAJIRI [WNC] vs. Fujita “Jr” Hayato [Michinoku], Kenichiro Arai [DG] & K-ness. [DIAMOND RING / TARU News] TARU announced that he wants to return to the ring and also declared the full revival of the VOODOO MURDERS.This follows the news of “brother” YASSHI announcing his return to the ring at DIAMOND RINGS show on February 11th. YASSHI appeared a few months ago and wearing a VM shirt. It did seem odd for him to be promoting VM without the original man in charge in TARU. There were signs of a potential return for TARU, but nothing was concrete. Though today on January 21st, TARU held a press conference announcing he wants to return to the ring.TARU appeared with an attorney at his side to discuss the reason why he has been gone for so long and that is because of the serious beating that Nobukazu Hirai sustained on May 29, 2011.TARU was the prime suspect for the situation and was inevitably charged and had to pay a large fine and he said that he would refrain from competition indefinitely. It has been almost a year and a half since TARU has been promoted in the press, but he has been spending a lot of his time with Nobukazu Hirai and his family. He also said that Hirai is currently in rehabilitation and is recovering considerably.TARU said that the whole situation became a lot more serious than what it should have, but he wants to rebuild the VOODOO MURDERS. To make a place for Hirai to return to one day. No specifics were announced on when exactly he would be returning.“brother” YASSHI though will be returning to the ring on DR’s show on February 11th and it seems that TARU will be in his corner. YASSHI currently does not have a match set as of yet, but he mentioned that “the lone wolf” Kazunari Murakami would make for a good addition to the team. Kengo Nishimura now just going by Kengo, is formerly of Kou-Haku Pro Wrestling and other indy promotions, and has been appearing with YASSHI as of late. He is officially the third member of the new VM.I don’t have the time to keep writing all the information that has been provided to me, but I will try and sum it up. There seems to be no ill-will between TARU and Hirai, I think most of us remember what happened back in May of 2011 and many thought that was a horrible act and that was the last we would see of the VOODOO MURDERS.Minoru Tanaka and Masayuki Kono would only see a short time away from the ring, and then MAZADA would return after a longer stint away. TARU being the leader of the group ended up spending a year and now 9 months away from the ring. There is still no mention to when TARU aims to compete in the ring, but he has announced that he wants to return, potentially sooner than later.TARU is still in communication with Hirai and his family in Kobe, Japan and indeed said that Hirai could potentially be returning to the ring as well. Hirai suffered a “acute subdural hematoma” which put him in a short term coma and significantly weakened his body during the time he was unable to do anything. I have yet to hear of any real backlash/criticism to this announcement, but there might potentially be some fans against it. I guess now we wait and see what comes about with DR’s show on February 11th.
