[ZERO1 News] ZERO1 recently held a press conference to announce heir full card for their next upcoming show on May 19th at the Shinkiba 1stRING.

The ZERO1 vs. NWF feud will be continuing strong with the 3 matches, 4 if you include ZERO64, with the NWF looking to maintain their win streak heading out of the Korakuen Hall show on May 4th.
James Raideen will be leading the group in the main event bout as he teams with Tama Williams and Mark Coffey to take on Shinjiro Otani, Masato Tanaka and Shito Ueda. NWF will definitely have a hard task in front of them with the ZERO1 leaders in Otani and Tanaka, but a win would certainly give them more power than ever.
Raideen also expressed that he and Maybach β want to challenge for the Intercontinental Tag belts which are currently held by Akebono and Daisuke Sekimoto.

Otani also announced that the 2013 edition of the Fire Festival will be taking place from July 17th to August 4th. The opening show on July 17th will also be held in the honor of Naohiro Hoshikawa, who would be celebrating his 20th Anniversary as a pro wrestler. Hoshikawa career was cut short in late 200r as he suffered a career ending injury while in competition.

This show will also see the dream teaming of Ikuto Hidaka and Fujita “Jr” Hayato as they take on, the current double junior champion, Jonathan Gresham and Jack Anthony. Gresham currently has no challenger for his newly won belts, but this match could potentially set up his first challenger.

[ZERO1 News] ZERO1 announced the shows that they will be holding and participating in during the Golden Week in Japan.
Among the shows will be the headlining show at the Korakuen Hall on May 4th as it will be Masato Tanaka’s 20th Anniversary Commemorative event. Only 1 match has been made official for the show at this time, with another huge showdown is to be expected between Sugawara and Gresham.

[ZERO1 News] Pro Wrestling ZERO1 held a press conference at the ZERO1 Dojo to follow up the Korakuen Hall show that took place on April 15th.

Daichi Hashimoto made his return, after a 4 month absence, against Kota Ibushi on the show, but failed to defeat the more experienced Ibushi in a 15 minute match. Daichi had managed to increase his body size by 12kg while he was sidelined with an injury and has brought himself up to a total of 94kg, or 207lbs.
Daichi plans to continue gaining in stature and to continue growing as a professional wrestling and looks forward to the chance to face Ibushi once again when he finally reaches his perfect size and ability.

The foreigners in ZERO1 have formed their own faction within the promotion with the NEW AGE WRESTLING FUTURE, or the NWF for short. James Raideen, Maybach β, Craig Classic, Jason New, Sebastian Concrete, Jack Anthony, Steven Walters, and Tama Williams are currently the main guys behind the new faction, but it seems it could be open to others foreigners who compete in ZERO1. It also seems this new faction could even go further than just in Japan as Raideen pointed out that they aim to be the top in the World. Everyone in the group is in their 20’s if not early 20’s and they are poised to be the future of the sport. Akebono’s name was mentioned if he was connected to the group, but Raideen said that is was no more than a previous practice and guidance. He is not affiliated with NWF as he runs his own faction with ZERO64.

Takuya Sugawara has once again retained the Double Jr. belts and is looking forward to a new challenger to emerge. Sugawara has specifically named Jonathan Gresham as a man that he wants to face. Gresham won the Tenkaichi Junior tournament last year and had earned a title shot that he never cashed in against Sugawara.
Gresham has an upcoming Jr. title match in ZERO1 USA Supreme against Oliver Cain on April 20th. Sugawara seems to be keeping a close eye on the winner of this match as Sugawara seems to be interested in calling out the winner of that match. Sugawara could be looking to add a third belt to his collection, if that is so.
More info on this development should be brought to light after April 20th.

[ZERO1 News] Daichi Hashimoto makes his return from injury against Kota Ibushi on April 15th.
Daichi aims to make his return with a new start with this return and he has already started the road to that by increasing his body size by 10kg. Daichi will get the match that he asked for against Ibushi and Ibushi himself stated that he is honored to face the son the son of Shinya Hashimoto, whom he is a fan of, and is looking forward to test his son’s skill.
Daichi has stated that he aims to claim this victory against Ibushi to rebuild himself a new, but did the young “prince of destruction” take on more than he can handle with one of the top junior heavyweights in Japan today?

[ZERO1 News] Daichi Hashimoto will make his return to the ring to be on April 15 after spending the last several months on the sideline due to an injury to his left arm.

Daishi appeared at yesterday’s ZERO1 show to make the announcement of his return as well to make a challenge for his return to be against DDT’s Kota Ibushi. Daichi doesn’t have much in common with Ibushi in terms of style, but Daichi stated that he thinks Ibushi is amazing in the ring and he wants to witness his skills first hand.

Today, Daichi appeared during a press conference to talk to the press and to also make mention that he has gained 10kg over the last few months. Daichi’s goal last year was to gain as much bulk as possible so that he could make the jump up to heavyweight status. Daichi initially weighed 82-83kg late last year, but as of today he is closer to 95kg, 94.9 to be exact.

Daichi’s late father Shinya Hashimoto, weighed upwards to 135kg at his height, and there is much speculation on if Daichi will indeed reach that number as well one day. I guess it is just a matter of waiting and seeing what happens.

[ZERO1 News] ZERO1 held a press conference to announce some matches that will be taking place on April 15th as well as the headlining match for Masato Tanaka’s 20th Anniversary on May 4th.

A big tag match has been signed for the show on April 15th, that will see the continuation of the ZERO1 vs. Big Japan feud, as Shinjiro Otani teams with Masato Tanaka to take on one of the strongest tag teams in Japan today in Big Japan’s Daisuke Sekimoto and Yuji Okabayashi. Both teams already aim to prove something as the best that Japan has to offer and this match surely has the early makings of an explosive and physical encounter.

With that match determined it was also announced that Masato Tanaka will be celebrating his 20th Anniversary, as a pro wrestler, on May 4th as he takes on Shinjiro Otani. Tanaka nominated Otani as they have nothing but history with one another, Tanaka spent more than half of his later career working along with Otani, and he wants to honor his achievement against someone he knows as much as they know him.

Also announced for the 4/15 show is Steven Walters, from North Carolina, USA, getting a title shot for the Double Junior crown. Walters has been training daily in the ZERO1 Dojo and it is his dream to compete in Japan. He will be looking to come right out the gate with a huge title opportunity.

The last officially announced match for the 4/15 show, at this time, will see the up and comer, Yuhi, taking on a women’s wrestling legend in Manami Toyota. Yuhi has already shown that she has a bright future in a head of her and she will definitely have a chance to further develop her career when she takes on Toyota.

Another match that could be in the works, Shito Ueda has made an open challenge, for himself and Yusaky Obata, to go up against KENSO & Ryoji Sai. Ueda wants a chance to reclaim the Intercontinental tag belts that he and Obata did not lose, forfeit due to injury, and they want to prove themselves as the rightful champions. This potential match could end up determining the next contenders for the tag belts which are currently held by Akebono & Daisuke Sekimoto “ZERO64”.

[ZERO1 News] Pro Wrestling ZERO1 held a press conference to announce some of the matches that will be headlining the upcoming Yasukuni Shrine show on March 31.

Among the announced matches was also the main event which will see Shinjiro Otani and Masato Tanaka teaming with a pro-wrestling legend in Riki Choshu. They will be taking on the team of Akebono, James Raideen and Zeus. Otani spent much of his early career watching Riki Choshu compete and he feels that by adding a wrestler of his caliber to the match will truly be an honor for pro wrestling.

James Raideen said that he is honored to be apart of the Yasukuni Shrine show this year and it will be a dream to compete in the match. Raideen’s goal is to learn from every match and he will be studying much from Choshu and even from his own tag partner in Akebono.

Also announced is that Kohei Sato will be facing off against Ikuto Hidaka. Hidaka is aware of the size he is giving up to Sato, but there is much that the two can accomplish in the ring with their own styles. Hidaka is grateful for the match and the chance to make this his dedication to pro wrestling. He is ready to stand in the ring against Sato.

Yoshikazu Yokoyama will be taking on Real Japan’s Hayato Mashita, once again, in the ZERO1 ring. These two last faced off earlier this year with Yokoyama emerging the victor. Mashita has been preparing himself for an inevitable rematch and he hopes to prove himself as a true disciple of The First Tiger Mask (Satoru Sayama).

As previously mentioned, Daichi Hashimoto is expected to return for the show, but due to the injury he sustained it is unclear if he will be able to compete at this time. It would be irresponsible to list him on the show at this time, Otani said.

[ZERO1 News] ZERO1 announced the full cards for their upcoming shows in March. The announcement they made today was the inclusion of a big junior heavyweight tag match showdown for the show on March 6. Ikuto Hidaka will be teaming with NOAH’s Naomichi Marufuji to take on the team of Tatsuhito Takaiwa and Michinoku Pro’s, and current Tohoku Jr. Heavy Champion, Fujita “Jr” Hayato.
This match is a big way to set of the 12th Anniversary and a way to also mark the 15th Anniversary of Marufuji, who celebrates his achievement later on this year. Marufuji was a part of the very first match in ZERO1 back on March 2, 2001 as he faced off against Naohiro Hoshikawa.
Takaiwa was under Shinya Hashimoto when ZERO1 (ZERO-ONE) was founded and has quite the history competing with them throughout the years.
Fujita “Jr” Hayato is noted as one of the best junior wrestlers in Japan today and will be putting his Tohoku Jr. belt on the line against Ikuto Hidaka on March 17.
The inclusion of this junior bout is an interesting one and there is already quite a bit of interest being put between the potential confrontation between Hayato and Marufuji.

[All Japan/ZERO1 News] KENSO held a press conference at the ZERO1 Dojo to announce his involvement on the upcoming show on February 3rd.
It was also announced that KENSO will be going up against Ryoji Sai one on one. KENSO is coming in to hit ZERO1 with passion.
Sai has recently said that he aims to reclaim his position as one of the top guys of ZERO1 and KENSO will be the first real challenge in front him.
KENSO honestly said that he is not the most familiar with the current ZERO1, but he is aware that Sai is a strong kicker and his style is completely different than his own.

There was also mention of a possibility of KENSO vs. Daichi Hashimto match in the future. Currently Daichi is out due to an arm injury, but anything is possible for his return.
This will mark KENSO’s first time in the ZERO1 ring and he looks to bring passion to the ring.

[ZERO1 News] ZERO1 announced that Shito Ueda and Yusaku Obata will be forced to vacate the NWA Interncontinental Tag belts due to Obata being unable to compete throughout the month of February due to injury.
A title match was to be determined for the upcoming show at the Korakuen Hall on February 3rd, but due to injury they will be forced to vacate the belts.
Obata suffered a head injury at January 12th show and was taken the the hospital for tests. No abnormalities were found, but it was recommended that he he take the next month off to be on the safe side. Ueda is not happy to relinquish the belts, but it is one of those things that cannot be helped. It seems that once Obata returns they will once again peruse the tag belts.

A tag title match will be happening on the February 3rd show though as the team of Akebono & Daisuke Sekimoto “ZERO64” will be taking on Kohei Sato & Zeus.

Also announced for the show is Shinjiro Otani going one on one with the BJW’s young and cocky Kazuki Hashimoto. Kazuki is no stranger to ZERO1 with facing off against Daichi Hashimoto, no relation, and this match will be continuation if the ZERO1 vs. BJW feud.

Sabu will also be on the ZERO1 show as well before the Osaka Deathmatch Show on February 8th. Sabu will be teaming with Onita & Tanaka as they take on Kintaro Kanemaru, Leatherface & BADBOY Hido.

$[NJPW News] New Japan announced that Daichi Hashimoto will be unable to compete at WRESTLE KINGDOM 7 due to suffering a fracture in his left forearm. Daichi was told by a physician that he will be unable to compete for 2 months as that is the time needed for the injury to heal properly.Daichi though said that he would still compete at the Dome with the cast on, but it was recommended that he step back at this time. Daichi said that he will indeed make his debut in NJPW soon and he hopes to be stronger than ever when he does.In the wake of this news it was announced that Shinjiro Otani will be taking Daichi’s place in the match. [ZERO1 News/Card Updates] ZERO1 announced the full card for their first show of 2013 as well as two upcoming title matches.

On December 29th, James Raideen will be defending the NWA UN Heavyweight belt against Will Gibson. The New Zealand native Raideen has had a strong year for himself since officially joining ZERO1 this year and it was all capped off when he won the UN Heavy belt. Raideen will be putting his title on the line against the Australia native Will Gibson in what should be a clash of power.
Gibson said that he has been training non-stop and has nothing but confidence in his upcoming title opportunity.

Moving on the first ZERO1 show of 2013 will see Ikuto Hidaka getting another opportunity against Sugawara’s double title reign. Sugawara currently holds all the junior belts in ZERO1, including the Jr. Tag, and Hidaka is looking to kick off the new year right, for himself, by reclaiming a title for his own.

Also announced for the first 2013 show is a big singles match for Daichi Hashimoto as he will be going up against, the former Yokozuna, Akebono. Daichi was called the top newcomer in Japan for 2012 and with the new year he is looking for a rebirth in a way. Following this match he will make his debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling and for the first time as well in the Tokyo Dome on January 4th. Daichi previously stated they he wants to begin his push up to heavyweight status as well that he has his eyes set on facing off for the UN Heavyweight belt sooner than later.

[ZERO1 News] Following the Announcement of all 12 teams that will be involved in the upcoming Furinkazan Tag League, ZERO1 has announced the matches that will be taking place on the first day.
The tournament will see the 1st round matches on December 13th, 2nd round on December 14th, and the Finals will conclude tournament on December 15th.

[ZERO1 News] Pro Wrestling ZERO1 announced all the teams that will be involved in their upcoming tag league which is set to begin this weekend.
Among the last four teams to be a apart of the show is Akebono & Sugawara representing ZERO64, Yoshikazu Yokoyama teaming with Real Japan Pro Wrestling’s Hayato Mashita, Kohei Sato chose his partner to be Apache Army’s Tomohiko Hashimoto, and lastly Daichi Hashimoto announced that he will be teaming with, former NJPW wrester currently in DRADITION, Hiro Saito.

That makes 12 teams that will be involved in the 3 day single elimination tournament. The tournament is set to begin on December 13th and will conclude on December 15th.

[NJPW News] New Japan announced the full card for WRESTLE KINGDOM 7 which will be held on January 4, 2013.

Among the new announced matched will be KES defending against the “winners of the World Tag League 2012” Hirooki Goto & Karl Anderson.
Masato Tanaka will be defending the NEVER Openweight Championship against Shelton Benjamin.
Yuji Nagata and Minoru Suzuki will rekindle their previous feuds as they will meet once again one on one at a WRESTLE KINGDOM event.
Then New Japan made it official that the “Prince of Destruction” Daichi Hashimoto, son of the late Shinya Hashimoto, will be making his debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling on January 4th as he teams with Keiji Mutoh to take on the team of Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima.
